the link between fandom & franchise

Headshot 2.jpg

Maddie Mooregan (née Moore, married Morgan) is an on-camera and voiceover actress, creative director, producer, editor, and more -- but most importantly, she's a fangirl.

Most people can pick up a book, read it, enjoy it, and move on with their lives. Me, not so much; I'm all too familiar with the phrase "oh, I love [insert beloved series here], but not like... not like that."

When a book captures me and doesn't let go, I make it everyone else's problem. I can't shut up about my theorizing, how obsessed I am with the fictional guy I shouldn't be obsessed with, how much I relate to the FMC, and how whoever I'm speaking with would love it, too. Especially when it comes to romantasy & sci-fi, I see and hear fictional worlds so vividly that it feels like I'm truly living in them. I feel it's my calling -- nay, my fate -- to to bring that magic from the page to life in any form possible. As a movie, television adaptation, dramatized audio, you name it, I want to make sure that magical feeling is preserved.

Romantasy books in particular have so much potential as pop culture juggernauts, with existing fanbases who are thirsting for content. Right now, it's taking the form of fan art (AI...), fanfiction, BookTok, and more, but everyone's always salivating for the official movie or tv show. The expectations of a fandom can be hard to meet; that is, unless, you're working with me.

...Because I'm in the Reddit comments, setting those expectations.

I've worked with clients like Marvel, Star Trek, CBS, MTV, Hulu, Coca Cola, Paramount, Verizon, and more. I know my way around the industry, and I'm in need a new gig... lucky you!

Hire me as an actress, a voiceover artist, a creative director, a producer, a writer, an editor, a lore consultant, and/or just to bring a great vibe to your place of work/set/Zoom/Google Meet/group text/whatever.

Seriously, I can wield magic. I'll prove it.
